
PhD Candidate in the Art History Department at the University of Kansas, Sooa Im received a MA in Art History from Rutgers. She specializes in eighteenth-century East Asian arts including Tibet and their artistic interactions and diffusions. She worked in the Rubin Museum of Art in New York City during the 2008 summer as a research assistant and in the Nelson-Akins Museum in Kansas City. She is planning to research local Tibetan art and assist in building the art education curriculum in the Mayul school.
